This subseries includes letters written to Roscoe, as well as letters written to third parties connected to him. Several letters communicate messages to and from Roscoe to other parties via his sons Robert, Richard, Thomas and Henry. A letter from 1887 to great-grandson Frederick Warburton Dunston documents his acquisition of the items detailed in Series 2 of this finding aid.
