Scope and Content From the Collection: This collection consists of the institutional records of the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library and Center for 17th- and 18th-Century Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, 1934-present. Items include materials related to library acquisitions and purchases, reference queries, fellowships, academic events and faculty, financial and administrative records, annual reports, clippings and publicity materials, building and grounds documentation, visitor records and publications....

Scope and Contents note From the Sub-Series:

Contains files related to non-academic Clark and Center events, such as fundraisers and Founder's Day, which celebrated William Andrews Clark, Jr.'s donation of the library to UCLA and took place from 1945-1955. Materials include invitations, photographs, administrative records, calendars, scripts from theatrical presentations, and other miscellaneous items.

Scope and Contents note From the Sub-Series: Consists of files related to or created by Clark professors and fellows. Materials include correspondence, grant proposals, seminar and event proposals, lists and general administrative files. Since the 1940s, the Clark (in concert with other organizations and granting agencies, as well as independently) has invited and funded fellowships at the library to qualified scholars.
