Fine Press Ephemera Collection
Scope and Content
This collection contains printed material from fine presses and printers in the United States and England collected by the Clark Library from the 1950s to the present. Items include but are not limited to printed cards, book prospectuses, cards, event invitations, and other small printed works.
Due to past collecting practices at the Clark Library, ephemera related to booksellers, bibliophilic clubs and societies, art galleries, and other libraries are also described here. There are also several folders of Miscellaneous material that collect together holiday cards, gallery announcements, and other small items that may or may not include the name of the printer.

Abstract
The collection contains material from fine presses and individual printers in the United States and England, with special emphasis on printers working in California. Items include cards, advertisements, invitations, and other printed materials.
Arrangement
This collection is organized alphabetically by name of press OR printer. For some entities where those names differ, it is possible that there is material filed separately under the name of the printer AND the name of the press. For many entries listed under press name, we have attempted to include the printer's name as a parenthetical and vice versa, for entries under printer's names.
Physical location
The majority of this collection is housed at the Southern Regional Library Facility. Contact Clark staff at least 2 weeks in advance to arrange access.
Boxes 8, 63, and 64 are stored at the Clark Library.
Acquisition Information
This collection of fine press ephemera is an artificially created collection. It is an accumulation of fine press materials gathered at the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library by librarians and library staff from the 1950s to the present. The collection will continue to grow over time.
