Photocopies of reference works on lithography
Scope and Contents
This collection contains materials either collected or created by Lynton Kistler, primarily related to artist and collaborator Jean Charlot, and to the Tamarind Lithography Workshop, founded by Kistler colleague June Wayne. Charlot materials consist of photocopies and typed carbon copies of incoming and outgoing correspondence between Jean Charlot, his wife Zohmah Charlot, and Lynton Kistler; it also contains some correspondence from Kistler regarding sales of Charlot works. Tamarind materials largely consist of published newsletters, mailings, and formal publications, as well as a few letters to Kistler. There are also some materials related to Kistler's studio -- including lists of artists, sale prices, and slides -- that were photocopied by Kistler and given to the Clark Library along with the Tamarind materials.
