Scope and Contents
Contents include photographs, papers, clippings and magazines related to various members of the McManus, Brennan, and Hall families. A large portion material appears to be related to or collected by Margaret "Peggy" McManus Brennan, and includes papers and photographs connected to her children, parents, and friends. Other materials include a 1930s travel diary written by Margaret Hall McManus, Peggy Brennan's mother, and pre-1950 photographs of Catherine Hayes McManus, other relatives and unidentified people. This series also contains a large collection of American magazines and newspapers documenting significant events in US history, such as the assassination of John F. Kennedy and the eruption of Mt. St. Helens.
