Scope and Contents
One of many pencil sketches for Guilford Cathedral (St. Ursula’s porch, St. John the Baptist). Set ranges from rough sketches dated as early as December 1929 to the detailed scale drawings of 1939 and 1940. Many are annotated by Eric Gill. Total collection includes 15 sheets of original drawings, 2 architecture eleven studies, printed article on the Guilford Cathedral Competition results (July 1932). Sketch for the statue of St. John the Baptist over the south entrance.
