Includes some notes on the typographical and textual analysis framework presumably employed by Novak and co., standards for editing Defoe, a list of titles to be included in the series, and a couple of guides by the MLA regarding the publishing of scholarly editions. Includes a copy of the "Outline for preparation of text and textual apparatus for Defoe Edition".
