Scope and Contents note
William E. Conway served as Clark Librarian from 1966-1978 and Robert G, Vosper served as Director of the Library from 1966-1981. This subseries consists of their files about the Clark, and includes event and seminar records, as well as clippings and biographical information. William Conway (1918-1992) began working at the Clark in 1939 as a cataloger, and after his 1978 retirement, worked at the library as a volunteer on special bibliographic projects, including reporting to the English Short Title Catalog (ESTC). Robert Vosper (1913-1994) served as UCLA Librarian from 1961-1973, Director of the Clark from 1961-1981, and UCLA professor of library science (later emeritus) from 1973-1983.
