Contains correspondence between William Andrews Clark, Jr. his library staff (primarily Robert E. Cowan and Cora E. Sanders) and booksellers, book collectors, musical colleagues and other friends and acquaintances, 1903-1946. Some correspondence between WAC Jr., Caroline Estes Smith and George Leslie Smith regarding the Los Angeles Philharmonic is also included. The vast majority of correspondence is business-related in nature and does not touch on personal topics. Also enumerated here is a small amount of correspondence to and from other Clarks (particularly William Andrews Clark, Sr. and Alice McManus Clark).
