Scope and Contents

Includes a variety of miscellaneous materials collected by James Lewis May. Items include: newsletters, invitations and other ephemera related to the Charles Lamb Society, John Henry Newman, the Ever Ready Co., and the U.C.S. Old Boys Club; obituaries and memorial cards for friends, family, and acquaintances; a packet of notes labeled "Found among Leon Lion letters"; a manuscript titled "La Fantaisie Francaise" as well as several small printed French booklets, some with covers removed; a typescript titled "What Are Psychical Atmospheres?"; book review clippings and other related materials; a program for a performance of Hamlet at the Lyceum Theatre starring Henry Irving; and invitations, greeting cards, blank postcards, notes and other miscellaneous items.
