General note

One of the images of Gill, his wife and children standing outside his workshop, The Crank, on Ditchling Common, Sussex, includes Gill's just-completed Mulier sculpture in the background. The reproduction of Eric Gill with his parents and siblings was taken from an original owned by Eric Williams, Gill's grandson, who brought the photograph during a visit to the Clark in June, 2003.
